Lisa is the owner of 417 Pediatric Therapy. Lisa graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Her career began at Mercy, formerly known as St. Johns, where she worked with adults in Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, and Acute Care settings. She gained valuable foundation skills she used as she transitioned to Pediatrics in Outpatient and Home Health settings at Freeman. It was there that Lisa found her niche as a Pediatric OT. Lisa is a Feed the Peds trained Pediatric Feeding Therapist and enjoys partnering with families to support feeding and swallowing needs. She also has 18+ years of experience working in Pediatrics through Early Intervention, Outpatient, Home Health, and most recently the Public School System, Early Childhood through Secondary education.

Lisa is passionate about helping others and loves to find creative ways to make this happen. Owning a Private Practice has always been a dream of hers and in 2021 she and her husband, Bryan, decided to make this a reality. There's no greater reward than pouring into children!

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends. She and her family also spend lots of time volunteering at church.

Kayla has always had a heart for helping others, and knew that she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her to do just that. She spent time shadowing an Occupational Therapist, and immediately knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the field. She graduated from Crowder College with her Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy in December 2016. Kayla began her first job as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at a preschool in which she worked with children ranging from age birth to five. This allowed her to expand her expertise as she received specialized training in the treatment of infants. Kayla worked at the preschool for just under two years, until she moved back to her hometown of Joplin, Missouri to pursue a job in the district that she completed her fieldwork in. Kayla worked with Joplin Schools for four years, where she continued growing her skillset and offered services to elementary and middle school-aged children. She greatly enjoys continuing her education to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of occupational therapy. Kayla loves her career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and can’t wait to share her passion with you.

In her spare time, Kayla loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys reading, binge-watching hilarious sitcoms, and snuggling up with her husband and two cats.
